In fact, it’s the very foundation this BMS is built upon. If an install-and-play modlist is something that you are looking for however, don’t worry, that is still an option. I decided to make a Modlist that could help anybody and everybody–all in a way that doesn’t bulldoze you, the user, into a modlist that you can’t deviate from. So I decided to do more than create a one-size-fits-all, “my way or the highway” modlist… Who is BMS for? Because of that, shortly after I started this endeavor, I realized that not everybody’s tastes to gameplay, visuals, and audio are similar to mine. This is, however, also my personally curated list of mods–ones that I enjoy using, and playing with… meaning your definition of lore-friendliness may be different to mine.

What about the types of mods you should expect? First and foremost, BMS strives for immersion and lore friendliness. Bugs and Crashes are enemy number one and are patched as soon as possible upon discovery. Unlike many lists however that dump massive quantities of mods without further testing or polish, BMS is committed to a higher level of quality. What this means is that our modlist is ever updating, growing and improving. That’s right, because the list of Skyrim mods is ever changing, this is an ongoing effort–not a one and done list.

It compiles every single noteworthy mod that ever existed and will ever exist into a list and then filters that list repeatedly to achieve synergy, cohesion and most importantly stability. The Best Modlist for Skyrim, or BMS, is the culmination of hundreds of hours modding Skyrim and seeks to consider every mod that has ever existed and will ever exist on Nexus and beyond. I really wanted to activate all my mods at once but for some reason I ran into problems even though I knew they worked so 1 by 1 is the only way unfortunately.SKSE64 AE 2.1.1 What is The Best Modlist for Skyrim? If problems persist try reinstalling SKYUIVR through Nexus. This means going to wherever you got said mod from, reading description, making sure you meet all requirements and have all required downloads installed, then launching Skyrim and making sure skyuivr can still read SKSEVR. Now it should be working properly, the next step is to check ALL MODS 1 by 1. make sure the MCM is in your settings in SkyrimVR.launch Skyrim through the SKSEVR loader in your SkyrimVR folder (I set my SKSEVR to always launch as administrator, seems to help).reinstall SKSEVR manually, except, instead of just the 5 files, drag and drop everything besides the ZIPPED data file (if it’s an open folder or some kind of document just throw it all in next to the SKYRIMVR.exe).uninstall skyuivr through your MM (check box to delete archives as well if you’re on Nexus).uninstall SKSEVR files surrounding SkyrimVR.However it’s super important you don’t skip a single one of these steps. So what I did to fix this is go back to the root of it all and now I have all 39 mods running clean. I think I found a fix although it’s super tedious, it beats having to hard wipe all data from mods. You can check this SKSE video guide by Gopher too. There you can change or adjust different values and parameters of mods that come with MCM support.

To access the MCM menu, just go into the in game menu and select “Mod Configuration Tool”. SkyUI VR (link found in the sidebar) can be installed like any other mod, through your mod manager.

Then hit enter and you should see the info MO2: add SKSE as app to MO2 and launch it from there!Ĭongrats you have now installed SKSE :) To make sure that it is running, open console in game (tilde key) and type:

Pack/Zip the “ Data” folder and rename it to “ SKSE_Data” and install it as usual with your mod manager (drag-drop, or copy to the download folder of your manager) Ignore the “src” and " actionbindings" folder.

zip (get the VR version from the sidebar of this sub!!!) and extract it to your i.e. MO2 users: you have to add SKSE as app to MO2 and launch it from there! Vortex users: Remember that the game has to be launched via the created Desktop shortcut!

And thanks to u/SuperOdie we have a fully functional and working SKSE (Skyrim Script Extender to implement mods with additional or altered scripts) has been supporting SkyrimVR for almost two years now and works totally fine.
